TFA System Disruption

Downtime 7-13 May 2026: Act Before Thursday 7/5 1pm
The TFA system downtime May 2026 starts Thursday 7 May at 1:00 PM and runs until Wednesday 13 May at 7:30 AM (updated on 11 May 2026 as seen below). If you are due to file a VAT return, make a tax payment or submit a VIES statement, you need to act before then or wait until the system is back.
What you need to do:
• File any pending returns before Thursday 7 May, 1:00 PM
• If you cannot make that window, wait until after 12 May. Extended deadlines apply for VAT and VIES (see below)
• No action is needed if your deadlines fall outside this period
